If you purchased your plan via healthcare.gov or Kentucky Kynect, please be advised of your 90-day grace period ...

It is incredibly important, if you have been late on your payment in the past (paid after the 1st of the month), that you get caught up and make sure payments are credited and received by the insurance company on or before the last day of the month prior to the due date. For example, if the bill is due August 1, your payment should arrive and be credited by July 31.

Essentially, if you have been late and keep paying late, without paying on time in full before the due date, you never leave the grace period, and on the 90th day your coverage is terminated. For the grace period to end, a payment must reach the insurance company BEFORE the due date (and, of course, there can be no balance due from prior months). Otherwise, the grace period keeps ticking up from 30 days to 60 days and then at that magic 90 day mark the policy is terminated.

Plan termination will result in all premiums being returned to you and all medical claims going unpaid.  Outside of open enrollment, you cannot re-enroll in a plan until 11/15/2014 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
